The First Snowfall Story

So, funny story. Yesterday morning, I woke up to SNOW! (No, that’s not the funny part. Hang in there.) I was extremely excited about it. It was just a little dusting, not even covering the ground in some places. But it was the first snowfall in Marion for the winter! (Mind you, had this been in Park City, I probably wouldn’t have even noticed. But because it had yet to snow in Marion, this was a big deal. Lol.) I put on my sweat pants and my puffy coat- the blue one that is way too big for me and, according to Jake, makes me look like the Michelin Man- and grabbed my camera to go snap a few pictures of this monumental event. I skipped down the stairs and out the door, closing it firmly behind me. That’s when I realized I had forgotten my phone. I don’t know about you, but my phone is basically an extension to my body. I have it with me at all times, even though I don’t even use it that much. I just like knowing it’s there, you know? Anyways, I turned back to open the door and snatch it, only to find that the door was locked. So I reached into my pocket to get my keys, and what do you know, I had left my keys in my room, too. Glorious, I thought. Normally, I could have called one of my housemates to lend me their keys. But I didn’t have my phone. I ended up having to walk to the Student Center to call Campus Police and have them unlock the door for me. Which was quite embarrassing. Needless to say, I locked myself out of my townhouse and felt like an idiot, all to take some pictures of a not-even-that-impressive first snowfall. That’s the funny part. Are you laughing yet? Ok, I guess it wasn’t that funny. At least it was entertaining, right? Riiiiight. :) Happy Tuesday!
