Today I flew back to school. For my last semester. My last semester. I can hardly believe it’s actually here. It might be the death of me, but at least it’s here. I didn’t cry at the airport this morning when Jake dropped me off. That’s never happened before. I mean, I’m a pretty emotional person. I know I’ve said that it doesn’t get easier to say goodbye, but maybe I was wrong. Or maybe knowing that the goodbyes are so limited, that they are coming to an end, makes them not as bitter. Whatever the reason, I boarded the plane with my head high, ready to take on the next 4 months.
It was a bit disheartening to arrive in Indianapolis and get to my car to drive back to school, only to find I had a flat tire. Minor 2 hour delay. The massive pile of clothes on my bed that is yet to be unpacked (I hate unpacking- with a passion) is also disheartening. The biting cold that sinks into your bones because it’s a humid cold and makes it impossible to warm up without a steaming cup of hot cocoa and bundling up in sweatshirts and blankets to the size of the abominable snowman is not exactly uplifting either. And oh yeah, the fact that I have homework due in half of my classes, ON THE FIRST DAY, is enough to make me quite angry. (I mean really?! Who gives homework over break??? It’s called a break for a reason!)
But it’s ok. I’m ready. I never thought I’d say that, considering I’ve been dreading coming back to school. However, I am determined to hit this semester running, no, make that sprinting, and not stop till I’ve crossed the finished line (cheesy metaphor, I know). Wish me luck! It’s the beginning of the end of my college career. Look out Indiana, here I come!!!!
And on that note, maybe I should get to that pile of clothes….

Maybe my next job will be sorting through my clothes and picking out the ones that I actually wear…

Wait, what? How is it even possible to get homework before classes? Oh wait, I remember Freshman year and having to read a book before my first World Changers class. Yep, given a book review test first day. IWU is awesome. /end sarcasm
