Dulce Photography

I made it through the first week of school!! 1 down, 14 to go. Nothing too exciting happened. Although I was assigned a date for my senior show. March 29th! So if any of you happen to be in Marion, IN on March 29th around 5 o’clock, come see me :)

Tomorrow will be interesting, though, because I will be in a situation I’m not normally in. You see, I prefer to be behind the camera. Really, I do. But tomorrow will be an exception. My wonderful suitemate, Samantha Javech, who just happens to be an awesome photographer, is going to take some pictures of me. Why you ask? Well it just so happens that I don’t really have any good pictures of myself (once again, I’m usually behind the camera). But seeing as my website will be launching very soon, I figured it was time to get a few decent ones. So I’ll let you know how that turns out. Alright, I’m done blabbing. Let’s get to this week’s facts!!

Fact #1: Chapped lips? Never fear. Burt’s Bees is the best kind of chapstick in existence. It might be a bit pricier than your average, run-of-the-mill lip soother, but it’s worth every penny!

Fact #2: People of the highway, your cars were made with cruise control for a reason. USE IT! No more 60 mph… 75 mph… 65 mph… 75 mph…  It’s all about consistency folks.

Fact #3: If you have curly hair and want it straight, Chi straighteners are by far the number one straightener. Seriously. (True story: I can now straighten my hair in half the time it took me using any of my previous straighteners.)

Fact #4: Dressing up for the first day of class is unintelligent. Think about it. If you look your best the first day, you can only go down from there. (Yes, I did wear sweatpants.)

Fact #5: (Caution: anyone with a weak stomach might want to skip right on to Fact #6) Whoever thought it was a good idea to leave a blister alone and let it heal itself was most definitely incorrect. If you pop a blister as soon as you get it, while the skin is still tender, it will heal much quicker. No lie.

Fact #6: There is no such thing as too long of a shower.

Fact #7: If you happen to venture outside with wet hair on a very cold wintry night in Indiana, your hair will freeze.

Fact #8: Chunky peanut butter is lame. It’s all about creamy. Especially Skippy. Mmmmm.

Fact #9: Sushi is so overrated.

And for your viewing pleasure, I decided to practice some shoe shots (say that 10 times fast). I bought this awesome yellow vintage chair last semester, and my suitemate has these awesome gold shoes. They seemed like a perfect match to me! I just loved the warm tones. What do you think?
