This morning started out like every other morning. I wake up, head to my desk, pour myself a nice bowl of cereal, and make the rounds. This takes anywhere from 4 to 11 minutes, depending on the how interesting the internet is. This morning, though, I looked at the clock and realized I had been sitting there for TWENTY FIVE minutes. How did that happen? I’d like to blame it on the internet, but really, I think it was the brand new box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch I had bought the night before. I poured my bowl, and ate all the cereal, and then noticed that there was quite a bit of milk left. So I poured some more cereal. Then there wasn’t enough milk. So I poured a little more milk. But then I needed a tiny bit more cereal… You get the picture. I think I ate half the box. (Ok, not literally. But I was very full. Uncomfortably full.) Has anyone else ever done that? Actually, no, don’t answer that. I’m going to pretend that it’s perfectly normal, and everyone loves cereal as much as I do.

In other news, my show is officially due this Thursday evening, and I had quite a setback today. Not gonna lie, I’ve been quite stressed. And when I’m stressed, there are two things that I turn to when I need to calm down: prayer and music. The song below, Colorblind by Counting Crows, is one of my all-time favorite calm-me-down songs. It is very mellow and soothing. I hope you love it and, if you’re having a crazy Monday, too, maybe it will help you relax :) Enjoy.
