I think yesterday might have been the last day of summer. Yeah, sure, most kids have gone back to school by now so summer was over for them a week ago. But last night really felt like the last night of summer. Which, in turn, means that today feels like the first day of fall!! (Ok, I did just google it and technically fall doesn’t start for another 23 days. But whatever. Roll with me.) I woke up to a very chilly morning doused in rain, and I felt a current of excitement run through me as I packed Jake’s lunch and made him oatmeal for breakfast (and, unlike last time, it was actually a successful bowl of oatmeal, in case you were wondering). I am SO excited for fall!! The amazing leaves, wearing hoodies and jeans allllll the time, specialty drinks from Starbucks, cute scarves, Halloween and Thanksgiving, football, homemade rolls and pumpkin pie… Doesn’t get much better than that! And the best part? I’m actually going to be HOME!! It’s been 4 years since I’ve had a Park City fall. It’s about dang time. I apologize to those of you who are holding on to the last bits of summer. (You still have 23 days…) But I say bring on fall!!
