My name is Carissa Sarah Joy Uribe. I was born in Minnesota but my family moved to Park City when I was 5 and I couldn’t feel more blessed to have grown up in such an incredible place. I love seeing such beauty everywhere I look. But not just because I live in a beautiful place. I am constantly seeking out the beauty in things that are easy to overlook. In turn, I want to capture that beauty. I want to save those moments in time that might have otherwise been lost. A look, a touch, a simple detail that could easily be forgotten, I want to capture it so that it can be forever frozen in time, a memory brought back to life as soon as your eyes dance across the photograph. That is my goal. My dream. My passion. I see the world differently when I look through a lens, and I would love to share that world with you.
I just graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in May of 2010 and received a BFA in Photography. While it was a challenging 4 years, full of homesickness, hard work, good friends, and of course, lots of photography, I could not be more grateful for attending such an enriching university. I know I have become a much better photographer and I have grown in uncountable ways as I have found myself at school. That being said, I am sooooo happy to be graduated and starting this new stage in life! I finally married the man of my dreams, my high school sweet heart, on June 15, 2010, and am now working on my photography business full-time. Makes me feel like the luckiest girl alive.
